Even worse...

Yes, this tuesday the autumn was even worse than we did remember from last year. Is it always this windy and cold in late September? Probably. So why do people keep trying to survive here?
We suspect it all has to do with urban sketching? At least, this is true in the USK-ESK team.
We went inside, to a nearby café/shopping area.
(or stayed at home sketching from a window).

Autumn at Mälardalen university

Autumn is here and there is nothing we can do about it.
Too bad.

However, a USK-meeting always tends to make things better!

This was of course true also this tuesday when we (Julia, Sven, Åsa, Sofia and Björn) went to the next building to do some serious sketching.

Sergei Eisenstein's...

...movie "Battleship Potemkin" (1925) contains an amazing stair scene, among other things. The connection to today's USK-meeting in Eskilstuna? Of course, it's all about the stairs close to our train station, as seen in Sven's sketch down below. However, no war or even the smallest amount of panic broke out during our USK-meeting this tuesday. Quite extraordinary!

All work and hardly no play, makes the USK-team dull...

We didn't have much time this tuesday due to the invasion of new students at our university.
Quite simply, we have been forced to start working really hard.
However, we took some time today during our lunch break and made some new sketches.
This time we went to construction site just close to our city library (where the coffee is really great).

1 year anniversary!

Today was not just another USK-meeting – it was our anniversary (1 year)! Wow!
Of course, at this very special occasion we sketched on historical ground, the Rademacher area. (Photos will arrive shortly). Also, Lisa Hölne from a local newspaper joined us! An article about USK-ESKILSTUNA will be published any time :)

Monday at the church!

This tuesday it's a monday...
Yes, due to our really tight schedule this week, we moved our USK-meeting to monday.

As the weather was really great, we decided to stay sketching outside for yet another week.
We went to the nice parque outside Fors Kyrka (the Fors church).

To sum up, a perfect USK-afternoon with a nice fika afterwards at Café Kaka.
Everybody in USK-Esk are happy!

Vacation is over...

...a bit depressing, but still, we always have our tuesday moments of joy to look forward to!
This tuesday we went to the the really beautiful Munktell area just close to our work The weather was perfect (most of the time) and afterwards we had a fairly nice fika close by. Not perfect, but ok.
